In 1991, Beth Award took two summer classes: DOS Programming and Yoga. The computer information didn’t stick, but yoga captured her attention from the very first class: she felt taller and quieter (miraculous!). Since 1994, Beth has been a student at Seattle Yoga Arts, and how she evolved to wear a leotard to work is still a bit of a joyful mystery to her. What she does know is that the practice of yoga opened her from the inside out. Inspired, Beth began to teach yoga in 2003. In 2007, she achieved Anusara-Inspired status and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT/E-RYT 200) through Yoga Alliance.
Beth offers a warm and clear instruction style that stems from her enthusiasm for the practice. She teaches a heart-felt, alignment-focused class that builds students’ capacities to trust their own innate intelligence, which is alive in the body, breath, and mind.
She is grateful for this path and for what she has learned, consciously and accidentally. Life continues to pull, prod, and inspire Beth in all of its many forms.
