Tips for developing a home practice:
Donna Farhi suggests the following:
- Have a dedicated space in your home that is clean and tidy and has everything you need (mat, block, strap, blanket, bolster…)
- Work with a yoga buddy or group.
- Set realistic goals.
- Keep it fresh by incorporating new ideas (classes, articles, online classes).
My personal tip: find a non-distracting TIMER and use it. I have one that I use every day for practice, meditation, napping, etc. Set the timer for 10 minutes, get on your mat, and move your body mindfully.
